Luis Suarez transfer saga brings laughter from Wenger and realisation from Liverpool.

It is becoming increasingly clear that Luis Suarez is unhappy at Liverpool. However, with three years left on his contract, the Merseyside side club do not want to sell the controversial striker to their Premier League rivals Arsenal, a move that will immensely strengthen Arsenal and weaken Liverpool.

Brendan Rodgers is apparently close to bringing Atletico Madrid’s revelation Diego Costa for £17 million pounds. And, while Rodgers has indicated otherwise, Costa may be a replacement for Suarez should the mercurial Uruguayan leave the club.

Brendan Rodgers has told The "Daily Mirror" that Suarez’s worth is close to the mammoth bid Real Madrid have made for Bale, saying that he “thought Gareth Bale and Luis Suarez were the two best players in the Premier League last season”. With Madrid set to complete a world record transfer for Bale, Rodgers says that “you can’t say that Gareth Bale is worth 100 percent more than Luis Suarez”. Wenger has since laughed off suggestions indicating that Arsenal will have to pay close to 9 figures to bring Suarez to the Emirates, saying that “you know me well enough to come to your own conclusion on that”.
