Juventus and Fiorentina wins 3 points in Serie A.

Fernando Llorente scored on his first begin for Juventus as a 2-1 victory over Hellas Verona got them back to winnings ways in Serie A.

Despite dominating the early exchanges, the hosts fell behind in the 36th minute as Fabrizio Cacciatore knocked house from close range, but that goal served as a catalyst for the champions to launch a comeback.

Carlos Tevez, who had squandered an earlier chance, equalised in style five minutes before the fracture and then Llorente nodded in right at the end of the first period.

That proved to be enough to give Juve the points after draws against Inter and Copenhagen in the last week.

Following their Champions League exploits in Denmark on Tuesday, coach Antonio Conte shook things up by making five changes.

Marco Storari, Andrea Barzagli, Mauricio Isla, Kwadwo Asamoah and Llorente all came into the starting XI, replacing Gianluigi Buffon, Stephan Lichtsteiner, Giorgio Chiellini, Federico Peluso and Fabio Quagliarella.

Verona came into the game off the back of a 2-0 victory over Sassuolo, with three changes from that side as Domenico Maietta, Raphael Martinho and Juan Ignacio Gomez had their respective places taken by Alejandro Gonzalez, Matteo Bianchetti and Massimo Donati.

Juventus seized control early on against the Serie A new boys, but they struggled to create sure-cut chances during the first half hour.

Tevez wasted a good chance 30 minutes in, and it was not long before Hellas made them pay for their profligacy as they capitalised from a corner when Cacciatore tapped in from close range.

Tevez made amends before the fracture, however. Leonardo Bonucci played an impressive throughball into the right side of the area, and the Argentinian fired a shot past Rafael into the far corner.

He almost added another too when he hit the post from distance, but Contes side did go into the crack ahead as Llorente headed in Arturo Vidals cross from the right on the stroke of half-time.

The visitors started the second half positively and Jorginho had a chance to equalise, only for the excellent Bonucci to poke the ball away with a last-ditch tackle.

Juventus did not test Rafael again until just before the hour mark when Paul Pogba twice tried his luck from distance, and although the goalkeeper almost made a mess of both efforts, he was not beaten.

Frenchman Pogba seemed positive to score and he once again went for goal from outside of the area in the 66th minute, but his curling effort flew just over the crossbar.

Conte's side continued to press for late goals, but Verona remained solid at the back - although a late comeback never appeared likely.

In the other side, Atalanta were defeated 2-0 by Fiorentina at the Stadio Atleti Azzurri dItalia upon Sunday afternoon in Serie A.

A first half goal from Mati Fernandez was added to by Giuseppe Rossi in the second as La Viola earned a hard fought win in Bergamo.

The away side were upon summit in the opening stages, controlling possession and territory, though it was Atalanta who had the first real opportunity of the match, with Maxi Moralez blasting straight at Neto from near range.

Vincenco Montellas men still looked the more likely with Manuel Pasqual hitting a freekick into the wall, before Rafal Wolski dribbled into the crate and forced a good save from Andrea Consigli.

La Dea were looking to hit upon the counter and Moralez managed to acquire to the goal line, and his cutback to Giulio Migliaccio resulted in a fierce strike from the midfielder from the edge of the area, but it was directed straight at Neto.

Carlos Carmona was in the thick of the action and got upon the end of a Cristian Raimondi cross, but his header took a deflection and went just broad.

Just moments later La Dea won a freekick upon the 18 yard line when Mario Yepes was bundled over by Gonzalo Rodrguez, however German Denis also smashed it into the wall.

But just five minutes from half time, a mistake upon the halfway line from Denis gifted the ball to Fernandez, who found Borja Valero upon the right side and his long looping cross to the far post was headed back onto the crossbar by Wolski, only for Fernandez to wreck into an open goal as Consigli was in no mans land.

Atalanta started the second half in frantic fashion as they looked to level the score though struggled to break through a tough Viola defence.

Joaquin almost doubled the Fiorentina lead, against the run of play, with a magnificent volley from the right hand corner of the bin, but Consigli got down well and palmed the ball away.

The away side slowly worked their way back into the match and Rossi should have given the Viola their second as Valero played him through upon goal, albeit slightly to the left hand side of the crate, but the Italian smashed into the side netting, though he made amends soon after.

Rodrguez cushioned a header to the former Villarreal man upon the edge of the area and Rossi half-volleyed it past Consigli to double the Violas lead.

Atalantas bad luck continued as Neto made an excellent point blank save from a Denis volley from five yards.

Giacomo Bonaverntura and Raimondi both saw long range strikes go broad at Stefano Colantuonos men tried to force their way back into the match, but La Viola held upon in the stop and took all three points.
