Adnan Januzaj could go the same way as Paul Pogba!

Manchester United are desperate to avoid a repeat of the Paul Pogba affair last year that saw the Frenchman swap Manchester for Turin where he has established himself as an critical member of the Serie A champions' midfield.

Juventus chief executive Beppe Marotta has hinted that the Italian giants would be interested in signing Manchester United youngster Adnan Januzaj.

Marotta has questioned why United are risking losing the 18 year-old starlet who scored twice upon his full premier League debut against Sunderland last weekend.

Januzaj current contract with the Premier league Champions expires at the end of the season and although talks are ongoing over a new contract, he is free to chat to foreign clubs in January.

Juve, who lured Paul Pogba to Turin from Manchester last summer in a situation same to that of Januzaj, are said to be keen upon talking to the player.

If they fear another case like Pogbas then they are right, Juves general manager is quoted by the Italian media.

Its difficult to understand how we can attain a stage eight months prior to the contract expiring without seeing a renewal.

Januzaj is a player showing enormous promise. He is a player of good quality.

In recent days Januzajs agent Dirk De Vriese has confirmed talks are ongoing although the departure of Sir Alex Ferguson in the summer meant talks had been delayed.

The departure of Sir Alex Ferguson meant that there was a crack in the negotiations, but we are back working upon the calls and will look how it goes, he said.
