AC Milan look set to launch a raid on fellow Italian Serie A club Fiorentina
for the services of star attacking midfielder Adem Ljajic and scupper the hopes of several
English club’s that have been rumored interested in the Serbian international according to "TalkSport".
The 21-year-old creative starlet has been on the rise in prominence
since
moving to Florence in 2009 from Partizan Belgrade. This past season he
exploded
into the top level of the Italian midfield elite scoring 12 goals in 31
appearances for the Viola while adding another seven assists along the
way to atracting the attention of major clubs from both the peninsula
country and abroad.
Having helped his club to an impressive fourth place finish last season, his
stock has risen incredibly and he is believed to be the next young player that
will be poached from the Florentine side after Manchester City signed both
Matija Nastasic and Stevan Jovetic in the past two summer transfer windows.
Although AC Milan look to be the biggest club said interested from Italy,
both Tottenham Hotspur and Everton have been linked with the player that at one
time was a target of Manchester United.
There is no precise amount that is believed to be linked to the player as an
acceptable fee for Fiorentina to allow him to leave but it is certain that a
bid below £10 million is not likely to tempt the club to sell.
