Manchester United closer to new signings!

David Moyes won his first trophy at Wembley on Sunday, but focus was on his post-match press conference. Questions on Rooney & future signings were posed, but Moyes was quick to suggest that Rooney would not be sold.

The Manchester United boss did reveal that the club is closer to new signings, on the same day that Fellaini was  left out of Everton’s squad to face Real Betis. Perhaps Fellaini has the same injury as Rooney. Moyes was quick to insist that the Belgian’s absence was nothing to do with Manchester United, but it timing is rather curious.

Everton's official Twitter feed told fans that Fellaini has an infected cut in his lower leg, and would play no part in the preseason friendly. David Moyes has also be heavily linked with a renewed approached for Baines, after already having a £12million bid rejected.

Reports earlier this week indicated that Moyes was readying a double-swoop for Fellaini & Baines.
