Manchester City are looking to snatch super kid Adnan Januzaj described as the Belgian David Beckham from the grasp of Manchester United, writes Alan Nixon of the Sunday People.
City are working to land the brilliant 18-year-old midfielder, whose contract at Old Trafford is up at the end of the season.Januzaj could stun United boss David Moyes by quitting the champions for their major rivals leaving them to haggle over a low compensation fee.
Moyes faces a major contract row with Januzajs advisers and City hope to choose up the pieces. The teenager has already played in some immense games since Moyes arrived he came on as a 67th-minute sub in yesterdays win over Crystal Palace and the new boss does not desire to lose him.
Januzaj has been targeted by some of the biggest clubs at house and abroad but Citys bid is the cause for most United concern.
Moyes does not desire a repeat of the problems under Sir Alex Ferguson when he lost the likes of Paul Pogba because United would not meet his demands.
The stand-off could end United sending Januzaj out upon loan and they may have to offer him immense cash quickly as they attempt to sort out his future.
